I am a physician, medical writer, and editor, residing near Houston, Texas, with my husband, children, and two oversized German shepherds.

Over 15 years, I trained and practiced internal medicine in a variety of settings from the intensive care unit to the clinic. This experience gave me an extensive knowledge base and insight on how to transform ambiguous scientific concepts into clear prose for patients, scientists, and clinicians.
